I’m Jacqueline (they/she/any). I’m a geographer and artist focused on place-based storytelling, visual and sonic aesthetics, and environmental justice.

I was born and raised in the California San Joaquin Valley and my diasporic story is entangled across the Americas through Panamá, Nicaragua, México, and the US. The work I do is informed by my education in environmental studies, political economy, racial geographies, and social movements, as well as my time as a youth organizer in the Valley and Bay Area.

As an undergraduate at UC Berkeley I have explored multi-media production while pursuing my degrees in Geography + Conservation & Resource Studies (Class of 2026). During the 2024-2025 school year, my thesis project por vida // for life was supported with funding from the UC Berkeley Arts Research Center. In 2025, my first short film INTERLOCUTORS was screened at the Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive (BAMPFA) as part of the Eisner Prize in video and film.

I also come from a DIY arts tradition in collage, zines, and self-publishing and I deeply enjoy doing these in community. Along these lines, I have edited multiple grassroots environmental arts + writing publications in collaboration with Berkeley-based student groups such as the Students of Color Environmental Collective and The Leaflet.

I’m currently based in México City on exchange at the National Autonomous University of México (UNAM).
